Personal Information
Your personal information can only be viewed online (or via our customer helpline) if you are successfully logged in to our system. Our log in procedure reduces the risk of somebody else doing this as it only allows three unsuccessful attempts at entering your PIN number or your memorable date.
We’re happy to store your credit card details for you after your first shop. This saves time in the future as it means that you won’t need to enter them again when you return to shop with us. However, you can, if you wish, enter your card details each time you shop - it’s entirely up to you.
Also, whenever you view your personal details or complete a shop you’ll see that your card details are never displayed – we only ever show the last four digits.
Remember – you can do your bit to keep things secure by always keeping your login details safe.
Checking Out
Every time you checkout your payment details are protected by something called 128-bit encryption. This is currently the strongest type of protection in common commercial use. It makes it very, very hard for someone to ‘decode’ information as it travels over the internet.
Once your payment information is received by our systems, your credit card is processed through the same system that handles our store sales – and this has been tried and tested over many years of secure operation.
Guarantee
Our internal systems and networks are amongst the best in the world – we’ve invested heavily in this infrastructure as it helps to prevent the risk of unauthorised people gaining access to our systems. In fact, we’re so confident about security on our site that when you shop with us we back each of your purchases with a guarantee.
In the unlikely event that unauthorised use is made of your card, most card issuers either cover the charges that result from unauthorised use or limit your liability to £50. If your card issuer holds you liable for any of the £50 we will happily reimburse you up to the full amount.
This guarantee applies where the unauthorised use is as a direct result of giving us your credit or debit card details on our secure server and not through your own fault.
If you find your card has been used without your authority please tell us within 24 hours of finding out. You must also tell your card issuer within the time limits agreed in your card scheme rules.
